11 Apr A new market for LOGIBEL
Lac-Mégantic, April 11, 2018 – LOGIBEL expands its activities with the establishment of the Centre de transbordement ferroviaire Nouvelle-Beauce.
The final choice of the permanent site will be made in the coming months. The development of the site chosen to develop the project is scheduled to begin in 2019 with the construction of a 5,000-square-foot building and the installation of a warehousing station.
Ultimately, the project will provide the Nouvelle-Beauce region with modern facilities for receiving and shipping goods by train, temporary warehousing and railcar loading and unloading operations.
“It is a priority for us to serve Nouvelle-Beauce businesses with the same efficiency that has characterized our services in Lac-Mégantic since 2005,” said Béland Audet, Executive Director. “We are convinced that we will be able to quickly diversify our operations in this sector.”
In order to respond quickly to a need of the industries in the Chaudière-Appalaches region, LOGIBEL launched its operations in early 2018 on a temporary site in Scott.
